PARTNERS
Ian Cartwright B.Com. F.C.A.
Ian joined the firm in 1982 as a partner to Fred Hanby, the founder. Ian
brought a world of experience with him after spending several years working
in the profession, mainly with International firms in London and Leeds.
Peter Brierley F.C.A.
Peter joined the firm in 1987. Peter had spent 6 years in commerce having
previously worked for Pannell Kerr Foster both in the UK and abroad.
Both partners between them have a wealth of experience in looking after both
large and small clients in a wide variety of business and can offer specialist expertise in Farming/Agriculture, Charities, Motor Trade, Hotel &
Licensing Trade and Medical Practices. In fact they are both extremely capable of helping clients achieve their aims and goals to be successful in
business.
STAFF
Valerie Mawston
Valerie joined the firm in 1982 as secretary/pa to the partners. Valerie
also deals with the Office Administration and is the person to contact when
partners are in meetings or otherwise engaged.
Having been with the firm for a number of years she has a wide knowledge of
the running of the firm and the needs of our clients.
Mary Eshelby-Kitchen A.C.C.A.
Mary joined the firm in 2000 as Manager having worked for several high
profile firms in the area. She is mainly involved with Limited Companies’
work and heads the audit team.
Carol Gill
Carol joined the firm in 1989. During her time with us she has been
involved with PAYE and VAT and now heads the Taxation Department dealing
with personal tax compliance issues and enquiries.
Neil Herod
Neil joined the firm in 1999 and is now involved with our larger clients,
concentrating on the production of management accounts, cashflows and audit.
He is particularly knowledgeable on computerised book-keeping systems such as Sage and IRIS and is the point of
contact for practical help on computer issues.
Mary Hickford
Mary joined the firm in 2004 to front the Payroll and VAT operations of
the firm. Mary has worked for a number of years in the Payroll Departments
of major enterprises and is able to advise on payroll and employment issues.
Mark Landreth
Mark has recently joined the firm as a senior accounts clerk. Mark has worked for a few years in a chartered accountants office and therefore has valuable experience of the role of senior accounts clerk.
Kath Marshall
Kath joined the firm in 1992 as Receptionist/Typist and will quite often be
your first point of contact when telephoning the Office.
All our staff are efficient and willing to help and most of them have been
with the firm for a long time and therefore are very aware of clients needs
to achieve a successful business.
